Explore the authentic sites of lush Mekong waterways on the four-day adventure through canals, rivers and mangrove forests. Your journey highlights the charming bonsai garden and orchard of Sa Dec, the sleepy riverside of My Tho, the green mangrove forests of Chau Doc and the unique Cai Rang floating market. Plenty of hands-on activities at a local workshop awaits.
Depart from Saigon to Mekong Delta, enjoy the scenic journey along the way bordered by green rice fields. Upon arrival at My Tho, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank then stop at famous Tortoise islet, have lunch at the orchard garden. Then enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of coconut trees along natural canals of Ben Tre – the kingdom of coconut, taste seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the locals. Continue your trip to Dong Thap, stop at the historical Xeo Quyt, a basement among residential places which is preserved formerly containing: underground house, store, secret tunnel… Overnight in Cao Lanh.

After breakfast in Cao Lanh, go through the Mekong River by ferry to Sa Dec, which is well-known for its ornamental floriculture of South-west of Vietnam, visit the famous ancient house Huynh Thuy Le of Marguerite Duras, author of The Lover. The trip is followed by Sa Dec flower village having various types of flowers and numerous bonsai dating for a hundred years. Later visit Kien An Cung Pagoda which was built with a unique and sophisticated architecture. Lunch is served at a local restaurant then we head to Can Tho for overnight.
